Duglas and Ismerly, along with their sons, Duandrick and Adonai, are serving the Lord at "La Baliza" Life Navigation School in the Dominican Republic. Duglas helps to mentor and disciple young men from The Lighthouse Ranch in Venezuela and other similar institutions thoughout Latin America. The goal is to help young men who have lived in orphanages, group homes, etc, to transition into living on their own. They are taught life skills such as career counseling, goal setting and budgeting. Along with these classes there is a great emphasis on living Godly, Christ centered lives.
Douglas also has a weekly Bible study with a group of Haitian young men and is starting to build relationships with children who live on the streets in a nearby city.
Ismerly helps teach at a small elementary school for Haitian children at La Baliza. Most of these children do not have the proper documentation required to attend the public school in the Dominican Republic.
