Guarding Your Child's Heart Study

We will be once again kicking off our Wednesday night adult study during our family nights at Faith. Starting January 4th our adult study will be "Guarding Your Child's Heart", by Dr. Gary Smalley. Each session will entail a short 20 minute video followed by a discussion facilitated by Pastor Gary.

Dr. Smalley comments concerning this, his latest study:
Parenting is hard enough without having to counter the destructive message children face in today's culture. In "Guarding Your Child's Heart," you will learn how to teach your children to memorize and meditate on just four of God's commands... that will transform both their lives and yours.

In a world where temptation is abundant it is more important than ever to give your kids a solid foundation. This new series will help you train your children how to hide God's Word in their hearts and reap the benefits of His blessings throughout their lives. You will learn how four commands from Scripture can build within your children the strongest beliefs enabling them to resist the world's temptations.

1. Humble Yourself: You can teach them that humility is the secret to being filled by God's love and power.
2. Love God:  They will learn how loving God is the most powerful foundation in your home.
3. Love Others: They will learn that the love for others only comes from God.
4. Rejoice in trials: Finally they will understand why each of their own trials and difficulties bring more of God's love and power after the pain.

Parents need simple, straight-forward tools to replace the harmful influences of our culture. I want to equip you to shape your children's lives by hiding God's Word in both their minds and their hearts. For me this new DVD series is the most important project I've ever produced.
