In both big and small ways we can Rock our Blocks! This August, Faith Community Church is choosing to intentionally serve the needs around us. Choose from the list below, or come up with your own way that you can Rock your Block this August!
1. Host a block party and get to know those in your neighborhood
2. Host a movie night with popcorn and soda for the kids in your neighborhood
3. Deliver baked goods to your neighbors
4. Mow your neighbor's lawn
5. Clean up the streets and roads in your neighborhood
6. Clean up a neighborhood park or vacant lot
7. Organize a canned food drive among your neighbors
8. Volunteer to help within a local organization
9. Plant a garden or tree where the whole neighborhood can enjoy it
10. Host a lemonade stand or give the lemonade away
11. Invite one family in your neighborhood who are elderly
12. Reach out to those in your neighborhood who are elderly
13. Visit those in a nursing home
14. Clean up a school playground
15. Send a care package or letter to a US soldier
16. Donate books to the library or school
17. Mentor a young person
18. Organize a coat drive for Coats for Kids
19. Be a big brother or big sister
20. Offer to babysit for free so a neighbor can have an evening out
21. Bring ice cream treats to the park on a hot day and give them away to children
22. Volunteer to coach a youth sports team
23. Volunteer to be a classroom helper in the local school
24. Make a point to engage each person in your neighborhood
25. Invite a neighbor to church!
